Getting started
Install BlockPress on your Shopify store
Open the Shopify App Store, search BlockPress, click Install. Approve the data scopes. You'll land on the dashboard.
Your first BlockPress post
From the dashboard click New post. Pick a template (Lookbook, Shopping guide, Recipe, FAQ, How-to, Product roundup) or start blank.
Importing legacy articles
Articles created before BlockPress show under the Legacy tab. Click Import on any article to convert its HTML into BlockPress blocks.
Connecting your blogs
BlockPress reads all blogs in your shop automatically. No extra configuration.
Writing with AI
Outline generator
Type a topic and focus keyword, click Generate outline. You get a structured H2/H3 outline with TL;DR placement.
Full draft writer
Pass topic + outline + tone. Claude returns a 400-2200 word draft with keyword density already in the 1-2% sweet spot.
Inline rewriter
Highlight any sentence or paragraph in the editor. Click the ✨ button in the inline toolbar. Pick a tone — Claude rewrites the selection in place.
SEO title suggestions
On the SEO panel, click Suggest titles. You get two AI-optimized title candidates, both 60-70 chars, focus keyword baked in.
Meta description generator
One-click meta description from your title + article content, sized to Google's 150-160 char display window.
AI alt-text
On any image block, the SEO panel surfaces a Generate with AI button. Claude Vision reads the image and writes alt text for SEO + accessibility.
Internal-link suggestions
Click Find link opportunities on the SEO panel. Claude scans your entire catalog and proposes natural anchor phrases. One click inserts the link.
Block editor
Adding a block
Click the + handle on any empty line, or press Tab on a paragraph. Pick a block type from the inline menu.
Reordering blocks
Drag the ⋮⋮ handle on the left of any block. Drop above or below another block.
Block settings
Click the ⋮ handle, then Settings. Settings vary per block — borders, alignment, captions, etc.
Bulk list conversion
Select multiple paragraphs, press Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+7 (ordered) or +8 (unordered) to convert all of them at once.
Product cards + sliders
Pick a Shopify product via the resource picker. BlockPress snapshots title + price + image at save time so the card survives even if the product is later deleted.
FAQ block
Each Q/A becomes an item in a collapsible accordion. BlockPress also injects FAQPage JSON-LD for Google rich-result eligibility.
Auto Table of Contents
Add the TOC block once. It scans your H2/H3 blocks and renders a navigation list. Updates on every save.
SEO scoring
Reading the score card
The SEO panel shows checks across title, H2s, density, slug, meta, images, links, schema. Each check is actionable — click to jump to the failing block.
Focus keyword
Set on the SEO panel. BlockPress grades title presence, intro presence, H2 coverage, density (1-2% sweet spot), slug match, and meta inclusion.
Article health dashboard
Catalog-wide health view: every article rated red/yellow/green. Prioritized to-do list for the worst-scoring articles.
Publishing + scheduling
Saving a draft
Autosave runs every 10 seconds while editing. You can also save manually from the top bar. Draft state means the article is not visible on your storefront.
Publishing
Click Publish to make the article live. BlockPress serializes the blocks to inline-styled HTML and pushes to Shopify's article API.
Scheduling
On the publish panel, pick a future date/time. The article goes live automatically via a Shopify-side scheduled publish at the time you set.
Version history
Every save creates a version. Restore any prior version from the version history panel.
Analytics
Performance tab
Per-article and catalog-wide: pageviews, scroll depth, time on page. Toggle 7/30/90-day windows.
Click tracking
Every internal link, product card, and CTA emits a click event. The Performance tab surfaces Top clicked links with type chips (product/internal/external).
Conversion attribution
Product card and slider clicks are tagged with the source article — so you can see which posts drive product views.

3 published articles. 10 AI generations per month included. Hard stop at the cap — upgrade to keep going.
Growth plan
$9/mo. Unlimited articles. 30 AI generations per month included. Per-generation overage if you go over the cap.
Pro plan
$29/mo. 400 AI generations per month, Article Health, Performance dashboard, Live Preview, and 3 author pages.
Max plan
$79/mo. 2,000 AI generations per month, unlimited authors, API access, and white-label option.
Changing plans
From the dashboard, go to Settings → Billing. Plan changes take effect immediately, prorated by Shopify.
